Private Equity Project by CORPOUS
Ghardaia 3B 20MW Solar Power Project (SPP), is just a pilot project for the REP-JV initiative in Algeria and further developments are under consideration up to 200 MW installation capacity. PPA draft and MoU was obtained in May 2016. The feasibility and technical assessment report is under study and preparation by PMGLOBAL Consultants. The design capacity is planned to be with gross 20 MW parabolic through technology sun-panels with a Solar-Field Aperture Area of around 138,000 m2. The estimated and expected electricity generation would be 50,000 MWh per year.
The Site is located northeast of the town Ghardaia. Proposed area is situated on a desert and a total area of around 242 km2 is available for development. A suitable area selected may accommodate up to 200 MW capacity. The environmental and social impact studies (EISA) of the wind farm will be assessed in detail during the feasibility study and detail design, but an initial evaluation does not reveal any potential major hindrance.
Project Company (SPV) and the potential shareholders have been under developing and negotiation. The overall feasibility studies are updated and EPC Contractor, O&M Operator, Master designer and Electrical Production and Transmission Detail designers are ready to be selected from potential experienced providers in the portfolio.
